She looked up at her friend. "Better." She just laid there it was all she could do. "Why did you attack me?"

I didn't recognize you. All i saw was someone tearing away at a banner of the Kingdom of Narnia. I could not bear that. After all i was there when this country was taken by the White Witch. " he paused and looked at the ground as he remembered. " That day when it grew cold. " he sighed

"I watched the Witch kill my brother." She paused because the gashes on her stomach were making it harder to breathe and talk. "That is why I tore down the picture of him." She took a sharp breath. "Because I swore I would get the Witch back but I over came my anger and..." She winced. "...Aslan told me it would be better to forgive her and let what is coming to her come but not by me."

Well i have never believed in revenge however much you seek it. The time will soon come when you must fight for what is right. " he said calmly

He sighed. " You really want to know. Alright, i guess i owe you that. " he closed his eyes and took a breath. " It was a long time ago. The sun was in the sky, and it was very warm. O it was beautiful. There was a breeze that was so refreshing. " he smiled as he remembered it. " The banners fluttered gently in the wind, the grass rustled ever so lightly. Our army looked slendid. All were dressed in quality armor, and they took up positions of the battlefield for what we thought would be a quick victory. " he paused. " The White Witchs forces lined up opposite us. They had equal soldiers as us, but we were better equipt. They battle began with arrows being fired at each other, then both sides charged. I was in the front of the line with the cats, which ran the fastest. We met their cats in the middle of the field, there were more of us and we soon prevailed just as the whole battle clashed together. It seemed to be going well, they were beginning to fall back. Then suddenly the Witch began to cast soldiers of our army to stone. It turned the whole battle around. Eventually we had to retreat, our King was slain by the Witch's General. It was terrible. I only just survived by outrunning the enemy. After the battle, the Witch immediatly began to turn everything cold. Snow began to fall and the sun was hidden behind thick grey clouds that were always and still are in the air. The grass stopped growing, the trees dropped all their leaves. The ground became hard, and the water froze. I gathered what cats were left, and we went into hidding. Those first few months were very hard. Food was scarce for nothing like this had ever happened. Although eventually everyone became accustom to the climate, but not the so called Queen. We stayed away from anyone who was loyal to her, but eventually some of the trees even joined her side. Since then everything has been ever so cold. It makes my heart and bones ache. It is too much for me. There have been times where i just feel like there is not much point left in hope. But then i remembered. Most of the animals in this forest fight. They fight because they are holding onto something. They are holding onto the fact that there is some good in this world, and its worth fighting for. " he said the last part more boldly

He shook his head. " No, not nearly as much as i hurt you as it would seem. I am truely sorry. I didn't know it was you. " he said still trying to get over the fact that he had almost killed her in his anger and rage.

"It is ok." She took a deep breath. "I guess it was my fault for following you."

Following me? " he asked. " So that is why you were in the palace. " he said with a nod. " Why were you following me?

"When I saw you that day I felt different around you. You seemed like you had more on your mind. So I wanted to see if you were ok."

I have had a lot on my mind recently. That is very true. I thank you for your concern, but i often find ways of working everything out. Even in dark times such as these. But what are you doing out here at Cair Parvel? " he asked

"Like I said following you." She looked up at him. "You went alone so I was a little worried."
