Scounting the Battlefield

[Criston]

Criston and about fifty or so creatures, all talking beasts, walked onto the battlfield, into the open field. Criston was at the head and behind him was a centaur and satyr along with several foxes, a leopard and four foxes. There were a few other animals, fawns and such behind him as well that also traveled with the party. Criston was looking around, listening for things and smelling the clean air of the field as they moved towards the rocks. They went in between the rocks, into the valley and looked around. It would be a defendable position in the battle that would surely ensue.

[Serenity]

Serenity rode out on the field and found an empty area. "This will work. She set up a camp and tied her horse, loosely, to a tree. She sat on the ground, quietly, watching the stars next to the fire.

[Criston]

Criston, who saw her all the way from when she had first come onto the battlefield, moved over to her slowly. He walked up to her and nodded his head slowly.
" Hello there?"

[Serenity]

"Hello, I am Serenity." She smiled looking at the wolf. "And you would be? I have seen you before, but never learned your name."

[Criston]

He bowed politely before he spoke in a calm, sfot voice which was the nature of his kin.
" I am Criston my lady." He said and then smiled.

[Serenity]

"Hello, Criston. Potrolling tonight?" She spoke quietly and softly. She would enter the camp later. She liked staying in the open and watching the stars...

[Criston]

Criston nodded slowly.
" Well you could say that. " He said and sighed a bit. " Do you have anything to eat by chance?"

[Serenity]

"Yeah, I have some, but not enough for your whole clan. I can cook more if you could find me more." She walked over to her food supply and took out the parts she had. "Here" She handed him some food and cooked some for herself.

[Criston]

He smiled and nodded his head.
" Well my whole clan isn't here, its just me and I won't eat that Much," he said with a smile as he looked hungerily a the food/

[Serenity]

"Eat as much as you want. I can find more." She smiled and ate what she had. "It's not like a cheetah can't hunt." She smiled and laughed lightly.

[General Orieus]

"My Lord! My Lady!" said Orieus as he arrived to where Criston and Serenity were.

"I have seen the stars tonight and foreseen an atack from the enemy! We must prepare for battle or suffer the consequences."

[Serenity]

"Don't you work for the witch?" She looked at him confused. She glanced at the fire and added wood to it.

[Criston]

Criston moved a bit as he saw the centuar moving towards him with an increased speed. Once he heard Serenity's qustion he thought he could answer it.
" No, I believe that is his brother." He said calmly.

[Serenity]

"Interesting...So what do we do now, knowing we may be attacked...?" She looked at the wolf and then at centuar. Corina was beginning to get restless. "There is going to be an attack. Corina is only restless when there is trouble..." She put out the fire quickly and packed little by little very quietly.

[General Orieus]

"Yes, an attack there is going to be. The stars never lie. But the stars haven't been able to tell me the number of our enemy and I fear we might be outnumbered." said the Centaur looking at Serenity.

Now he looked towards Criston and said, "My Lord, you must choose to ready your troops for battle or attempt to flee."
