Alcorad and a band of wraiths had been traveling through the forests hunting for The Panthers who had been hosting many attacks against Her Majesty lately. The Champion had sent out many Wraiths who moved through the tree's with silence and grace that easily matched and surpassed that of the Elves. Soon he had found small band of the massive black cats and had waited while the wraiths had gone for the true warriors.
A few minutes later , Alcorads prized battalion of Minotaurs came forth. They wielded massive axes and where all ready for the battle. Film sprayed from there noses' as they looked down at the cats in suppressed desire. Finally the order was issued and they charged down the hill. After several minutes of fierce battle the Panthers were dead along with a few on his prized bulls.
" No matter." He had murmured." I can merely send for more." The warrior said with satisfied and elusive smile. Then he felt it. The presence of Centaurs nearby. He had whipped his band back into ranks and marched the quickly threw through the woods. The Champion had pulled his helm on and removed his heavy cloak. His sinister blade was drawn as they moved quickly. Alcorad on horseback, and his soldiers galloping along behind him.
Soon he had reached a clearing and the Warrior looked around. His black opal eyes scanning the trees. then he heard it. The nearly silent whizzing sound of an airborne arrow. Then one of his Minotaurs fell. Soon the air was alive with arrows, but now they were prepared and the missile's were blocked.
Then the Centaurs charged from the trees. They were fifteen strong and heavily armored. Once both sides engaged the other, a fierce skirmish ensued. Alcorad rid straight at one beast and took it's life with a well placed slash to the throat. Then another came and he desperately blocked the blow while his other hand removed the ax and he mauled the Centaur to death with fierce blows to his armored head.
After about an hour the battle was over. Alcorad's mount had been slain and he had to fight on foot for most of the battle. All his men where dead, and the same could be said for the Centaurs. Alcorad's side bleed through the armor as a clearly visible arrow shaft hang from it. Slowly he limped into the forest and he fell against a tree next to a stream. The Warrior looked out into the massive forest, and the rushing water wondering how he could get out of this alive.
