Connavar had traveled north to Archland. It was a quick ride and only took him a few days. He had decided to see if this Realm was still a pawn of Narnia. For years this places walls had been the reason he could not take Narnia, but if he could secure there allegiance, then that would all end. Once the Emperor reached Anvard he was quickly taken to the Throne Room. He was told the Queen would be with him shortly. So Connavar walked through the Hall looking at the paintings on the wall and reading the inscriptions.

Gilraen was on the balcony of her room looking at the neverendiong stars glitting whence she was told of a visitor, she asked some maids to bring him drinks and she walked to meet him. Once she saw him she bowed her head and said "Good evening, which are the matters of thy visit My Lord and which may be thy name to be adressed?" A gentle smile was curved on her lips as she looked at him awaiting a reply.

The Emperor turned to look at her. Connavar bowed his head in respect to the Queen. He then looked at her. She was an Elf which was not good for him. They would never turn against Narnia, but it was worth a shot." I am known by many names, Connavar Emperor of the Calormen Empire, Conquerer of the Seven Tribes, and Lord of The Shadow Beasts." He said with a small smirk." What title will I address you by?" He asked taking the goblet of wine and sipping at it.

She smiled and said "I am simply Queen Gilraen honoured to meet thee." She nodded and said "Lord Calormen, what brings thee here to this elven realm?"

" Are you being modest?" He asked her curiously." But very well, I guess I will get right to it." Connavar said setting down the goblet and looking at the Queen." I am here to discuss an alliance between our realms." The Emperor said never looking away from the Queen. He could tell how she felt about this by her eyes.

She looked at him and thought for a moment, then she asked him "Which woult be the advantages if it is not bold of me asking My Lord."

" There are many advantages, Queen Gilraen, one of them being domination. If I can secure you as an ally then my armies will b able to go from Calormen straigh to Narnia, which will crumble in mere weeks to my power." Connavars voice then became dark." But if you refuse, I will march upon this Realm and take it." The Emperor said stil starring at her.

She stared at him, she did not like such thing but her country was more important than anything else. She sighted and said a bit bitter but at the same time angry thought she hid that she did not like him one bit "Consider the alliegance done My Lord."

The Emperor smirked alittle. He could tell she hated him, but he did not care. His armies had a straight path to Narnia now, nothing could stop him." Good, as part of our alliance you are to close your gates to Narnia, none of them are welcome here." Connavar said in a commanding tone." And if you ever betray me, I will hang you from the battlements as an example."

She looked at him and surprised said "Close my gates? But my people live of the tradings and that would make it difficult for me to travel as I please."She then felt more angry 'how could he dare to order me aorund!'. She then said "Trading does not make any difference..." She said trying to convince him to take off that order,

" No you trade with Narnia! If you trabe with them then they are still getting the resources they need." He hissed angerily." But my realm is open to trade. We have everything you would need, along with the Green Lady's mine which we recently took. All the precious stones, money, and anything else you need we can give you. Now close those gates."

She shook her head and said looking at him with her deep green eyes"If I let you pass that is what agreeded, I can not limit my life nor my people's life to being imprissoned in our own lands. We are allied but not your prisioners."

The Emperor growled." If you contiune to argue with me, then you very well will be my prisoners." He warned." But fine you may keep your gatesw open, but you cannot trade weapons or food with them. I don't care what you say that is final."

She sighted and looked at him like someone that did not fear him but still she was respectful and said "I will only trade with you."
