Stories said a Sea Serpent swam here. Nature was the only thing permitted within the watery depths, even the surface. People have gone missing, last seen at these waters. Bodies have been found at the edge. Of course this was a great place for someone's curiosity to grow. Strike's did.
Standing at the edge of the lake, not even his toes touching the water, his hands on his hips as he stared out in thought. It had been a hazy day, leaving a fog behind and a deep mist on the water's surface. His silver eyes searched, trying to see past. Yet he could not. It wasn't aggrivating, but it wasn't the favorite pass time either. He came to wait and see what would happen. Never had there been stories of someone missing or dying on the shore, but he planned to wait only to see if he could see the source. Nothing more.
His camp was already set up. A blanket on the ground next to a small campfire already burning, a bag sat next to the blanket and a saddle on a thick log next to it. His sword of course was at his side, no where else any time. His cloak lay half in the bag, there was no need for it right now, he was on his own. Wolf lay on the blanket, curled in a tight ball, eyes shut. The horse, Black Magic, was somewhere wandering about. Strike didn't fear for him.

*Lilith had half her body on shore, her human half, so her flipper was not shown...she clicked her tounge and perked up her head a bit to see who this person was* Hello...*she held out her hand to him..* Strike...are you friend, or enemy?

Strike had been looking out into the wat still. Nothing. Most would feel relieved, but Strike was annoyed. He had wanted to see this Serpent. Not fight it of course, but still seeing it would have been nice. Strike had turned to leave when he heard someones voice, he turned calmly and looked down at her.
" Hello, creature." He said in more then an unfriendly tone. His light eyes focusing on her. He walked forward and offered her a hand, thinking she was s tuck in the water and that is why ony half of her was visible." I am on no ones side, I travel for myself." He growled. Tyrants were all that was left in this world. Wolf and Magic were all he fought for, no one else." And how do you know my name?" He demanded in another growl, this one Wolf heard and he woke up. Trotting down to the coast edge he found the two.

*she smiled* I know who you are for I am no human...I am the serpent you were looking for..I suppose..*she said as she hoisted her body onto land...she was about 8 feet long and she smiled and her flipper gently rubbed against his ankle* Hello Strike..I am lilith..queen of the mermaids.. *she smiled and looked into his eyes and moved her flipper away from his ankles*

" I heard you were a killer." He muttered. Strike could admit he was more then disappointed. Wolf trotted up to the mermaid and sniffed her curiously. When his nose tuched her flipper, he bounced back and snarled at it. More in a playful tone then angered." Stop." Strike ordered and Wolf laid down in the sand watching the Meremaid." You didn't answer my question how do you know who I am?" He demanded his tone becoming threatening. He was becoming defensive out of fear. If she knew his name then she might know his past, and that was his. That was one of the few things that was trully his.

*she smiled at the wolf's playful attitude..she gently tickled his nose with her flipper, then she looked up at Strike* well Strike..you see I am what you might call telekinetic..all mermaids have the ability, but mine is a bit more powerful..in other words...you cannot stop me from getting in there...*she said as she pointed to his head* but I don't do that...only if it is allowed shall I purge your thoughts...you shan't be afraid, and you will know if I am, because you can feel it..like..this..*she said as she began digging into his mind but she quickly stopped, she just wanted to allow him to feel the sensation..it was like a stinging and burning in the back of the head*

Strike snarled in defiance." Stay out, Fish." He roared angerily." Go back to camp." He ordered to Wolf. The beast was so shocked from his Masters sudden change in mood that it jumped up and scurried away, tail between it's legs." I don't now who or what you are. Also I don't care, but stay out of my mind." He said not trusting her. The Man turned on his heel and walked back to his camp. Hoping that since she had a flipper she wouldn't be able to follow him. Magic was back at camp and sleeping, Wolf sat on his cloak in a ball, glaring at Strike." Sorry." He whispered stroking the beasts ear. Wolf quickly forgave Strike.

*she sighed and used her bracelet to morph her flipper into legs..she stumbled a bit and fell a few times, but quickly got the hang of it, and walked to the camp..she plopped down in the sand next to Magic, and crossed her legs* I'm sorry...but you need to be prepared just incase others try..I'm not the only one..you know..

He looked up at her." then I will be sure t avoid the water." He said his voice angry." So tell me, Fish. How do I get rid of you?" He asked sighing in anger. Obviously insulting her wouldn't do it, either would walking away. And Strike didn't kill creatures who didn't threaten him." Do you want anything, or just someone to listen to you ramble?" The Kragarian said not looking at her. He had pushed wolf of the blanket and tossed it to her. She was annoying, but was still wet and he didn't want her to get sick. When things like this happened, it was when Strike doubted his own sanity. He was being so mean, yet he didn't want her to be cold. What was wrong with him?

*she smiled and wrapped the blanket around herself and began to gently pet magic's soft coat* well..to get rid of me I would suppose you might kill me?..or make me cry..but you wouldn't want that to happen..my emotions are tied to this ocean...if you did that...the waves would kill you...unless ofcourse the other mermaids didn't do it first...you see when I cry..the whole ocean cries...for I am the mother of the ocean as well...but..it'll take quite a bit to make me sad, I'm quite persistant actually if you havent noticed *she said smiling as she looked into his eyes*

" I'm glad I asked for you personel history." He growled at her sarcasticly. He didn't care about mermaid, the ocean, or if she cried. All he wanted right now was to find out why she was here, give her what she wanted, and be rid of her." Stop speaking in riddles Mermaid, tell me what you want." He said annoyed. Wolf was growling in his sleep. Trying to support Strike, but it sounded more like he was snoring then being ferocious.

Strike saw this and knew what was happening. He stood up quickly and Wolf well from his lap. He yawned before he saw what was happening then quickly ran to the water telling Strike to follow. The Kragarian picked her up and sprinted to the water. After a few seconds he reached the water and jumped in. Soon he was soaked and they were in ten feet deep. Strike was holing her entire body under the water hoping he wouldn't drown her.He continued to hold her under, kicking his legs to keep himself afloat.

When she came up Strike was already swimming back to shore. He hadn't stayed to see if she was alright or not. He pulled himself up and walkedo ut of the water. He was annoyed to be so wet now and Wolf did something that looked like a wolf laughing. Strikes response was a low growl that silenced him.
