(on your marks... get set.... GO!)
It had been near hours since they had first stepped into the world of narnia. It was all terribly exciting and Lucy kept talking of a 'Mr. Tumnus' and he was quite excited himself to meet a faun. He could barely blink as his eyes soaked up the surrounding sights. He was so compelled he could not feel that his feet were cold or barely make out what his siblings were saying. Through a show frosted tree, Peter could see the outline of some pole or rod in the ground. He could not quite make out what it was but once they turned the corner he could see a dim light coming from the top of the Pole. In fact it was no pole but a post... a Lamp Post.

Susan was a little skeptical about the whole thing. A wardrobe opening up into a secret country? It was insane! It defied everything she had been tought in school and she was a little upset to find out that she had been wrong about it all, though she would never admit it. But, it didn't depress her as it normally would have, for her being wrong. Everything here was so different, so interesting. The snow frosted ground sparked a great deal of a sense of adventure and she had half a mind to run around and play like a little girl. She kept her calm, however, and followed Peter through the snow, staring up at the lamp post in wonder. What was a lamp post doing in the middle of nowhere? "Peter?" She said his name softly, wondering what he thought of it all.

A red fox watched from a distance as the the son of Adam and DAughter of Eve walked through the snow covered forest. They had seemingly come out of now where and this interested Criston. He walked silently through the snow on all four of his paws. He hid behind snow covered bushes and tree trunks as he watched the two. The snow began to come down faster and thicker so he decided to get a bit closer with the change in weather. As he did so he stepped in a hole that was covered with snow. His back right paw fell into it and there was a slight cracking sound and he wailed out in pain. " Ow..! ow!" He whimpered as he curled up a bit licking his paw.

Susan jumped as she heard the sound and grabbed onto Peter's arm. "Peter, what was that?" She asked, looking around, searching for the 'person' who had called out in pain.

Criston heard the Daughter of Eve speak to the Son of Adam whose apparent name was Peter. Criston wondered what sort of name Peter was for a moment but then the pain in his paw brought him back. " Ow...can either of you two help me here?" he asked not afraid of them anymore. He was more concerned with his paw.

Startled, Susan looked in the direction of the fox and gasped. "It- it talked to us!" She was surprised, animals didn't talk on the other side of the wardrobe. She didn't know what to do, she just stood there. Part of her was telling her to help it, the other part was scared and wanted to stay away. It was so confusing here. First, there's a random lamp post, now there's a talking fox. What next?

Criston let out another waile as he tried to move his paw. he figured he best reply to the shell shocked Susan. " Yes..I can talk..along with the rest of the creatures in Narnia..even some trees too. Now..can someone help me here.." He said looking back at his paw.

She bit her lip and nodded, finally deciding that he really needed help and this was all just a dream. She went forward and pulled his paw from the hole gently, holding it out in front of the animal. "It doesn't look too good." She assessed, staring at it. This was jsut a dream, nothing more.... it had to be.

" Well gee...I can tell that Daughter of Eve.." he said and licked his paw again. He turned his head and looked back up at Susan. " Can you do anything?"

"I- I don't know..." Just a dream, just a dream.... She looked over at Peter, her expression asking him to help. Then she frowned, his last few words registering. "What did you call me?"

Criston rolled his eyes. It was hardly the time to talk about that now with his paw injured and such but he figured he best get the confusing parts out of the way so she could fix his paw. " A Daughter of Eve.." He said and nodded to Peter. " And he is a Son of Adam. You are humans aren't you?"

"Yes." She replied, looking at the fox. "But that's not our mother's name, or our father's." She was frowning again, finally figuring out what to do with the animal's paw. Remembering a book she had read, she set the paw. She went over to a tree and snapped off two branches to about equal length and splinted his paw, wrapping a piece of cloth around it she had ripped from her shirt.

*the white witch's reigns with the slightly harsh tone of silver bells rang out through the forest...the snow was sent flying to the sides of the sledge as she sped through her land of Narnia..until she heard something..she stopped the reindeer so quickly, they almost toppled over..she looked around*...hmm..[/color]

Lucy:
She had knelt beside the fox and was stroking his head. "iIm sorry that you've hurt yourself, but you should really be more careful." She paused as she heard something. She turned to Peter and Susan."Did you hear that?"

Susan looked around, trying to figure out what was making that noise. "Peter? Do you think we should hide?" She was a little afraid now, something didn't feel right.
