A large gryphon came from the sky and circled above them. He knew they were talking beasts because a wolf would never stand by a horse as if it weren't food. He flew lower and called out to them. I call out to thee, you two beasts. What side do thoust stand for? The Wickedness and Magic of of the White Witch, or the Glory and Compassion of the Great Lion Aslan!

Criston remained plopped on the ground. He really had no desire to do anything else because of the pain in his paw. He simply watched.

With that, the gryphon rose into the air. He turned himself around towards Aslan's camp and called after him. "I believe that there ist a woman by the name of Eleda whom couldst heal thy wound. Seek her out. She shalt be with thee children, but I warn thee, do not disturb her workings or question her! One of the last elves!" he flew off.
